AR Introduces New Antenna Mounting Adaptors
New Design Allows for Horizontal and Vertical Polarization Changes While on Tripod
Souderton, PA — October 6, 2009 —AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation has introduced three new antenna mounting adaptors that are uniquely designed to allow horizontal and vertical polarization changes during testing without removing the antenna from the tripod.
The three new adaptors are designed to be compatible with existing AR antenna models.
- Adaptor Model AM1000 is designed for use with AT1000 and AT1000A Antenna Models
- Adaptor Model AM1001 is compatible with Antenna Models AT1080 and AT1080A
- Adaptor Model AM6000 is for use with Antenna Models AT5080 and AT6080
Each adaptor includes a 20-inch non-metallic mast.
Because the center of gravity is offset when moving the antenna between horizontal and vertical polarizations, it is recommended that users purchase a new tripod along with the antenna mount. The Model TP1000B tripod features a more robust design and a new angle-adjustment mechanism. The tripod also includes 24” and 51” interchangeable masts that allow a test height of up to 2.5 meters.
